Featuring both emerging and established artists, the auction will also give local creatives the opportunity to showcase their work - something that many haven't had the chance to do since before the pandemic.
Eastern Riverina Arts recently commissioned 23 locals to create an A4 artwork to be auctioned off, which gave artists a much-needed financial boost.
"We want [the artwork] to be shared in the community and encourage more people to own art," executive director Tim Kurylowicz said.
Local artist Myles Pragnell said the project gave him an "absolute boost in confidence".
"It was just a reminder that we can keep making art; there is time and space and opportunities to keep making art."
Mr Kurylowicz and Mr Pragnell both agree there are increasing opportunities for artists in regional areas, without them having to move to metropolitan areas to find work.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Also being auctioned on Sunday are some artworks from the collection of Romaldo 'Aldo' Giurgola, who was one of the architects involved in designing new Parliament House.
"It's sort of been sitting in waiting until we could actually auction them," she said.
"The idea is we'll raise the money and then that will go into [FOG], and the gallery will be able to buy some new pieces of work."
The art auction will be held at the Wagga Art Gallery this Sunday from 2-4pm, with a $10 entry fee.
