The MLHD reported 14 new cases of the virus to 8pm on Monday night, including ten in the Albury LGA and two in Federation.
One new case was recorded in the Temora LGA, and one in the Wagga LGA.
The health district is also reported the death of a man in his 70s who died in an aged care facility in Albury, where he acquired COVID-19.
"He had received one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and had underlying health conditions," an MLHD spokesperson said.
"There have been 10 deaths linked to an outbreak at this facility.
"The Murrumbidgee LHD wishes to express its deepest condolences to the family, friends and community at this time."
Ashmont Public School in Wagga closed its doors on Tuesday for contact tracing and cleaning after a member of the school community tested positive to the virus.
It comes as three Wagga primary schools were closed last week due to similar exposures, with more than 60 close contacts identified at one school.
On Tuesday the MLHD said it will no longer be publicising venues exposed to COVID-19 in order to "protect" the identities of cases.
MLHD chief executive Jill Ludford said the changes will not mean contact tracing no longer occurs, but that contacts will be reached out to directly via text message.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"It's a bit like not listing all of the venues, we will certainly let you know if there is a school or venue of concern, but otherwise, it's about the people who are the case, protecting their identity," she said.
Ms Ludford also said yesterday that the majority of cases across the District are linked, or household contacts.
More than 97 per cent of those over the age of 16 in the MLHD have received their first dose of the COVID vaccine, and 90.5 per cent are fully vaccinated.
The MLHD is currently managing the clinical care of 120 COVID patients. Two are in hospital, including one patient in the ICU, and the rest are receiving care in the community.
There has also been no further positive detections of COVID-19 in the sewage across the MLHD in the past 24 hours.
Across the state case numbers of the virus have been on a steady increase the past two days, with 212 new cases reported on Tuesday and two deaths.
More than 91 per cent of NSW's over-16 population is fully vaccinated against the virus, and 94.2 per cent have had a single dose.
There are currently 210 COVID patients in hospital, with 32 in the ICU.
