The 50-23 was their fifth straight win which improved their record to 10-2, hot on the heels of Temora (10-1) and Charles Sturt University (11-1).
The Saints have the best percentage in the league, which means their looming round 16 clash against the Bushsows could go a long way to deciding the minor premiership.
But they need to take care of business in other games first, and coach Flynn Hogg said they will need to improve on the effort against the Bombers.
"It was a nice win but it wasn't one of our best games, it took a while to get into it," Hogg said.
"We had to have a bit of a kick up the bum at half time, the second half was much better.
"I've had Keely Stephenson who coaches B grade as a pair of eyes on the bench for me, she fired us up.
"I don't think it was a bad thing, it makes us realise we have to work hard every week, and hopefully we'll come out strong and treat every quarter equally.
"Over the next few rounds we've been working on a few plays, hopefully we can finetune those against the easier teams."
Hogg feels the new-look side has started to click.

"The second half of our season has been much better. We've find our rhythm on the court and it was a confidence booster for us beating Temora (in round ten)," she said.
"I know we can beat the good sides. Against CSU we just have to play our game, I thought we let them dictate the game too much and take control (in a loss earlier in the year)."
Hogg said having some coaching advice from someone on the sideline as she concentrates on playing had been a huge help in her first season as coach.
"It's just good to have a pair of eyes on the bench while you're trying to focus on the game on the court," she said.
