Charles will miss the rest of the season after being handed a massive suspension by the Southern Inland judiciary.
The centre was suspended for 12 games after being charged for a dangerous tackle which left Sam Bunny hospitalised in Waratahs' win on Saturday.
The tackle was described by Waratahs co-coach Angus Stevenson as something that "shouldn't be part of the game of rugby."
It was graded in the top range, which attracts a minimum 10-week ban, however Charles' poor record didn't help him.
It was the second time this season Charles has been suspended.
He also missed two weeks for striking earlier in the season and the game against 'Tahs was his return fixture.
Reddies have their best chance to win so far this season against Griffith at Beres Ellwood Oval.
Griffith have only won one, a 55-21 win over Reddies to start the season and both have plenty to play for looking to get their hands on the cup.
