Bunny was taken to hospital by paramedics after being on the receiving end on a tackle co-coach Angus Stevenson described as something that shouldn't be part of the game early on in the 51-7 win over CSU at Beres Ellwood Oval on Saturday.
Stevenson said it overshadowed the game.
"It shouldn't be part of the game of rugby," Stevenson said.
"It just put a whole dampener on the whole game and it was less than 10 minutes into the game.
"We would have been happy if the game got called off at the stage."
No cards were handed out for the controversial hit however more could come with suggestions a number of onlookers wanted to take the matter further.
James Grimmett scored a hat-trick after moving back onto the wing as Waratahs continued their winning streak, which is now at five after a loss to start the season, and extended Reddies' winless start to the year.
