The passing motorist alerted emergency services that a B-double had left Shoards Road at Grogan, about 25km north-east of Temora, and rolled about 10.20pm on Wednesday.
The motorist began CPR on the truck driver and continued the resuscitation attempts until NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived. However, the driver and sole occupant, a 62-year-old man, died at the scene.
Officers from the Riverina Police District have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
As inquiries continue, anyone with information - or who may have dashcam footage from the area - is urged to contact police.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
The incident was the second fatal crash on Riverina roads on Wednesday.
