A man has died and two have been left seriously injured following the collision of an SUV and multiple motorcycles in the Riverina on Saturday morning.

Emergency services were called to Scammels Gap Lookout along Alpine Way, north of Khancoban, at about 10.15am on Saturday after reports of a collision between an SUV and multiple motorcycles.
Offers from the Riverina Police District arrived on scene and found one motorcyclist, believed to be in his 50s, deceased at the scene, with two others seriously injured.
The female driver of the SUV and the injured riders were air-lifted to Canberra Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
As of Saturday evening the Alpine Way is closed and "will be for some hours", according to a NSW Police statement, with officers from the crash investigation unit en route to examine the scene.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area or delay their journey if possible, with no alternate routes available. Traffic can be monitored via Life Traffic.
As inquiries into the incident continue, police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
