Dean Spencer's sister in-laws Brittney and Joanne Tomkies have organised the fundraiser on behalf of Dean and Tahnee Spencer.
Money raised in the fundraiser will go towards the family's living expenses, especially as Dean's wife Tahnee is by his bedside as he is treated in hospital.
"On the 20th of October, my brother in law, Dean Spencer was involved in an accident at work, resulting in him being hospitalised with serious injuries," Brittany said.
According to emergency services, on the day of the accident Dean had become wrapped in a meat auger while he was working.

It took more than three hours of intense work from all emergency services on site to free him from the machine before he was airlifted to hospital in Canberra with serious injuries.
The Gofundme page has a target of $5000 and has already attracted dozens of donations after being launched late last week.
"He's a tough nut that has his family's support behind him 100 per cent but it's going to be a long road to recovery both mentally and physically," Brittany posted on Facebook.
It has been very difficult on the family as the ACT border was closed when the accident occurred meaning Dean and Tahnee's children were not able to visit them.
"My sister, Tahnee, is also with him every second to help with his recovery," Brittany said.
Locals have shared their good wishes for Dean and his recovery on Facebook as well as the Gofundme page with support for the family as well, as they deal with Dean's recovery.
Locals are invited to support the family by donating to the cause by going to https://gofund.me/5a753cde.
