On Thursday the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation officially recommended third doses of the jab for all Australians aged 18 and over, with the rollout beginning on November 8.
Dr Ayman Shenouda, who runs the vaccination hub at Glenrock Country Practice in Wagga, said they are already taking bookings for anyone over 18 as of Friday.
He said that anyone who had their second dose at least six months ago was eligible.

"We're just very proud of Australia being one of the first countries to implement the booster dose and give [people] more security," Dr Shenouda said, with boosters increasing immunity by up to 90 per cent.
While anyone over 18 is eligible for booster doses, he added it is likely that aged care residents and healthcare workers would be the first to roll up their sleeve, as they were prioritised groups at the beginning of the vaccine rollout.
