Two women accused of abducting a child from a Wagga home are set to face a joint trial after each of them entered pleas of not guilty to three offences.

Prosecutors will allege that on October 25, 2020, the women broke into a Wagga home while people were present and attempted to abduct a child.
The two women faced Wagga District Court on Friday, where they formally entered their pleas before Judge Gordon Lerve.
A 29-year-old woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, faces a charge of taking/detaining a child with intent to remove from parental control (domestic violence-related).

She entered pleas of not guilty to all three charges.
A 21-year-old woman from Forbes, who also cannot be named for legal reasons, is a co-accused in the matter.
She has also been charged with taking/detaining a child with intent to remove from parental control (domestic violence-related), aggravated enter dwelling with intent and common assault (domestic violence-related).
She also entered pleas of not guilty to all three charges.
A Department of Public Prosecutions representative informed the court it would be a joint trial, which is estimated to take about five days.
The trial date has been set down for April 26, 2022.
Both women remain on bail.
