The Wagga side only lost one game through the first start of the season and started off round two with a 38-5 win at Beres Ellwood Oval on Saturday.
Despite having plenty of players out, Waratahs were able to keep their hands on the COL Cup.
Coach Michael Davis was pleased with how so many of the new faces stepped up to the mark.
"Considering we had a few players out I was really happy with how they played," Davis said.
"It was a bit scrappy, there was a bit of drop ball and the cohesion wasn't there but defensively they were very good.
"They were up for it and only let in the one try so that was pleasing."

Their defensive effort was the most pleasing aspect for Davis.
"Credit to Aggies as they just kept coming and there were times there where they put 20 phases together but our defence held strong," he said.
"It was a good clash between both sides."
One negative was yellow cards to centre pairing Harry Tyson and Harry Morrow.
However coming off the general bye Davis is hoping the win will get Waratahs heading in the right direction with games against Griffith and Wagga City in the next fortnight.
"We're just building each week, which is good," he said.
"Hopefully we can put everyone on the paddock to keep building the continuity between the regular guys who are there and pressing forward for the next two weeks, which are quite big for us."
Wagga City are the only side to get the better of them so far.
The loss continues a slow return to the competition for Ag College after sitting out last year.
However Hamish Spackman was able to cross for a consolation try.
Meanwhile Steven Tracey made a statement filling in for Dylan McLachlan in Wagga City's win over Tumut on Saturday.
Tracey crossed for four tries in the 59-17 win, and also converted seven of his team's nine tries.
Jone Kurusiga and Waisale Sauvinaloto also bagged a double as the premiers continued their impressive start to the season.
Wagga City have the bye next week before the grand final rematch.
Meanwhile Albury shrugged off CSU to remain in third place.
The winless Reddies got within six points before the Steamers scored the last 17 to take a 37-20 win.
Mosese Baleidrokadroka scored a double in the win at Murrayfield.
