Tuinauvai and Brothers front rower Warren Lloyd, who played together at Kangaroos in 2019, were both given their marching orders after tempers flared late in the first half at Twickenham on Saturday.
Both were dismissed by referee Shane Bartlett after becoming involved in a melee following a tackle on Blues winger Tom Hickson.
It was just the second game Tuinauvai has played since receiving a bumper suspension for striking two years ago.
After appealing his initial 21-game suspension, Tuinauvai only completed his 10-game ban earlier this month.
It was just one aspect that took the gloss off the 45-14 win for the ladder leaders.
The other were the leg injuries to fullback Mitch Ivill and centre Tolo Aroha-Tuinauvai.
Especially with a big clash with Gundagai at Anzac Park on Saturday.
Co-coach Lachlan Bristow is hopeful they aren't too serious as the arch rivals prepare for another Maher Cup challenge.
"I don't think they are overly serious but it is still concerning going into a really big game," Bristow said.

Tumut, who sit on top of the ladder, never looked in doubt against winless Brothers however Bristow admitted it was far from their best performance.
The Blues led 28-0 at half-time and added to their lead as Brayden Draber crossed for his second before Adam Pearce forced his way over.
However Brothers did take something away from the clash as they crossed three times.
Bristow sealed the win with a field goal but is looking for the side to be much better against Gundagai.
"It was really scrappy as the conditions weren't the best with the ground really wet," he said.
"The game struggled to find any rhythm so it wasn't a complete performance and we definitely weren't at our best.
"We played down a bit, didn't complete well but in the end we got the win and that's all that really matters so we'll move onto next week."
