Tess Staines scored six tries against her hometown club while Ellen McIntyre went over four times in the 67-10 win at Leeton No.1 Oval.
Reddies suffered a 32-17 loss against Albury to start the season, but with plenty more troops on board coach Andy Bedford was pleased with how the side responded.
"It was pretty good over in Leeton," Bedford said.
"They were like us in week one struggling for numbers and their coach said they had four players who hadn't played rugby before.
"We felt for them but it was good to get the win."
CSU fell to Ag College in last year's decider but will have a similar side, pending availabilities this season.
However Tori Nolan and Emma Robertson are two notable losses.
"We just had a lot of people away in round one," Bedford said.
"It was everything in one with girls on holidays, Tess was playing AON (sevens) and a couple of injuries."
Meanwhile Albury continued their unbeaten start to the season after scoring a 32-17 win over Hay.
However Wagga City couldn't quite make it three wins from as many games as well after slipping up against Waratahs.
The 29-20 loss keeps them in third place, one point ahead of Waratahs.
Griffith are also unbeaten after a 58-0 win over Tumut.
The two unbeaten sides face each other on Saturday while CSU hosts Wagga City, Hay travels to tackle Waratahs while Tumut will be looking to hit back against Ag College.
