Coming off two heavy losses, Aggies came out on top in a thriller against university rivals CSU at Beres Ellwood Oval on Saturday.
While never behind in the clash, eight points was the biggest margin at any stage.
After holding off a last charge from Reddies, coach Elliott Barrett hopes the 15-12 win will be a big boost for the redeveloping club.
"It was really good," Barrett said.
"After the first two weeks a lot of the playing group were struggling with belief in themselves so hopefully this win will really amp them up and they will start having a bit more self belief."
Alex Farquhar impressed in the second row while Lochlan Ramm really added to the back line.
Barrett was also pleased with how Lachlan Woods adjusted after moving from the forward pack to fullback.

In the end an early Ramm penalty goal proved to be the difference between the two sides.
However the win didn't come without a cost with five-eighth Will Nixon picking up an ankle injury while paramedics treated hooker Fynn Walker after he suffered a serious head laceration after being forced over the sidelines and into the scorer's table.
Ag College are now looking to add to their tally when they head to Tumut on Saturday.
After two byes to start the season, the Bulls finally got their campaign underway with a tight win over Griffith at Jarrah Oval.
Both teams scored three tries each and it was goal kicking which saw Tumut come out on top 22-17.
Meanwhile CSU will be looking for something to celebrate on the field as the club takes on Wagga City as part of their 50th anniversary celebration.
