Council director of environmental and community services Janice Summerhayes confirmed at Monday tonight's council meeting that a COVID-safe march would go ahead.
This year's event was thought to be going ahead without the traditional march down Baylis Street, after last year's public Anzac Day events were cancelled due to COVID-19.

But Ms Summerhayes said representatives from the Wagga Returned Services League sub-branch had told her just that afternoon about their change of plans.
Ms Summerhayes said Wagga RSL sub-branch members will meet with NSW Police representatives on Wednesday to discuss plans for a march adhering to coronavirus restrictions.
In 2020 Wagga's Anzac Day march was cancelled for the first time in more than 100 years following public health orders made by NSW Health in March.
The year echoed an earlier Anzac Day in 1919, when public meetings were banned in NSW due to the outbreak of Spanish influenza.
It marked a return to more private rituals as people stayed at home and lit up the dawn with driveway candlelight ceremonies.
