A man in his mid-50s was trapped in the wreck of a ute for almost two hours after the incident on a dirt road intersection at Tharbogang, northwest of Griffith.
Emergency services were called to Stevenson Road just before 6am, responding to reports of a single vehicle accident where a ute had rolled into a pole.

"On arrival, (it was) confirmed that there was one male occupant in his mid-50s trapped by the vehicle, with relatively minor injuries," NSW Ambulance's Griffith duty operations manager Markus Zarins said.
"Ultimately he was taken to Griffith Base Hospital with a head laceration, various other grazes and bruising."
A Griffith State Emergency Service team assisted paramedics and police with freeing the man from the crushed cab.
The driver was out of the vehicle and on the way to hospital in a stable condition by 7.40am, NSW Police confirmed.
