The driver, a 44-year-old woman, was ejected from a Toyota Hilux utility after it left the road and rolled about 8.30pm.
Paramedics also responded and assessed the woman when they arrived at the crash. However, she died at the scene.
Griffith police Inspector Justin Cornes said the woman had now been identified, but the cause of the crash was still under investigation.
"It's very early in the investigation, so we're looking at everything at this stage and obviously appealing for witnesses to come forward," Inspector Cornes said.
Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of both crashes and will prepare separate reports for the coroner.
Anyone with information about these crashes is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au.
