The owner of CB Gloss had already left for the day when the fire broke out in the workshop, which firefighters believe went on to spread to products such as paint thinners.
Police and fire brigades are currently at the site, however the fire itself has been brought under control after a rapid-response from Turvey Park firefighters.
Titan Joinery owner Jayke Owens rushed to the site after receiving several calls from clients and nearby cricket players, who saw smoke billowing out from the shed.
"Me and him share a common wall with a bit of three mm ply. That's all that separates us. I'm nervous," Mr Owens said.
"Hopefully it's not too bad for [the owner] because it's Christmas rush. All trades are the same. Everyone's ringing up wanting to get things before Christmas. It's the most stressful time in the building industry and you don't need this."
Firefighters believe that there doesn't seem to be any further threat to the surrounding buildings.
Firefighters are warning residents to steer clear of the scene, and police are currently handling traffic around that area.
