At around noon on Saturday, October 24, Wagga Highway Patrol spotted the 30-year-old man driving his Toyota Dyna truck in Glenfield Park without a seatbelt.
When police pulled the truck over and asked the man to show his driver's licence, they discovered that the man was disqualified until 2061.
The man took a roadside drug test which came back with a positive result for methylamphetamine, also known as ice.
The driver was arrested and taken back to Wagga Police Station, where he was charged with driving on a disqualified licence and not wearing a seatbelt.
The man underwent a second drug test, and police say further drug charges are pending once the results are in.
