A MAN and woman have been taken to hospital this afternoon after their car flipped at the Byrnes Road roundabout.
A NSW Ambulance spokesperson said the man, 69, and the woman, in her 40s, were treated for back and neck injuries after being trapped in their vehicle.
Multiple emergency service teams attended the scene with police officers guiding vehicles through the roundabout as others worked to extract the pair from the car.
EARLIER:
EMERGENCY services are responding to a vehicle rollover at the Byrnes Road roundabout, which has left one person trapped inside the car.
A police media spokesperson said they were called to the scene about 3.50pm this afternoon following reports of the accident.
They said one person was trapped in the vehicle.
In other news:
It is understood that police officers are guiding vehicles through the roundabout as emergency services work to extract the person from the flipped vehicle.
A NSW Ambulance spokesperson said paramedics have responded to the accident.
"It is believed there will be a lengthy extraction," they said.
Fire and Rescue and Volunteer Rescue Association crews have also responded.
