CANBERRA trainer Keith Dryden landed his first Narrandera Cup win courtesy of Gunga Din.

The promising four-year-old justified his $3.10 favouritism with an impressive victory in the $32,000 Leeton Toyota Narrandera Cup (1600m) on Sunday.
Gunga Din, ridden by Brendan Ward, scored by two and a half lengths from Monkery ($19) and Hurricane Harbour ($9.50).
Dryden was pleased to enjoy his first Narrandera Cup win.
"That's the first time I think I've ever taken a horse there," Dryden said.
"He seemed to go alright that horse in that sort of class.
"The owners are a team of guys who are just having a ball at the moment. They've got a pretty flashy trophy for them to fight over anyway."
Already a dominant Highway Handicap winner over 1800m, Gunga Din is now likely to step up to 2000m and could be a future country cups type campaigner.
"I think he's probably a genuine 2000 metre horse so I used that to step up. We'll go to Sydney with him midweek now," he said.
"He just might be (a country cups horse). Now he's had those two runs over the mile, he'll be fit enough. It all depends on his next run, if he runs well, he possibly could be."
The Rob Wellington-trained Nevada Dane ($12) took out the sprint, the Bendigo Bank Narrandera Benchmark 66 Handicap (1000m).
Gary Colvin has success with Zarsnip ($21) downing the highly-promising Lady Brook, while the Rick Freyer-trained Pacific Tycoon saluted at 90-1.
