The pair replace Joel Mackie who has been banned from playing in the championships.
Osborne president Jason Gooden said last Friday the club would adhere to the AFL Riverina's demand that no Albury-based players would play in the competition.
Armstrong said he felt for Mackie who is in the farcical situation of not being able to coach or play.
"We are still working out the details but it looks likely Shayne and myself will co-coach on match day," Armstrong said.
"I've only known Joel a short time but you can tell how passionate he is about his footy and he is understandably gutted that he can't coach or play.
"Joel has done a lot of work already this season with structures and got the boys up and going.
"So we certainly all feel for him."
Osborne recruits Elliott Powell, Zach Bye, Tom Johnston, and Sam Livingstone will also be forced to miss the season.
The Tigers held an intra-club match on Saturday in preparation for their season opener against Wagga Tigers.
They were buoyed by the appearance of Nick, Ed and Joe Perryman who hope to be cleared by Collingullie-Glenfield Park before Saturday.
"We are getting really good numbers to training and easily had enough players for two sides in the intra-club," he said.
"The Perryman boys played well and Duncan McMaster stood out in the ruck.
"We have also picked up a few teenagers from The Rock.
"We are just looking forward to getting what we can out of the season.
"Whether that be one match or six matches."
