Broome was the latest new face at the club after joining Ben Jeffery in travelling from Griffith to play.
Starting in the centres, Broome failed to play out the game but is another welcome addition to the side.
"He is a really handy addition and we were short in the outside backs so he is a huge bonus," Diesels captain-coach Trent Schubach said.
Junee couldn't keep up their fast start but Schubach thought there were plenty of positives after a late influx of players.

"I think the bye is going to work in well for us as we've got a couple of injuries so we can rest them up, get a bit more fitness and contact into the bodies and be ready to go for round three."
Tim Dore also struggled with a finger issue.
