After making it through to the last eight in 2017, the Wagga side made a swift exit in the most recent edition of the annual event.
However Clifford Morris believes they are better placed this time around.
"We don't want to be putting all this effort in to be going out in the first game," Morris said.
"I think we are doing the right things and we have a good mixture of experience and young boys. I think we will be a lot better this year."
Dindima has been drawn to play United Tribes in the first round.
With this year's event on the Central Coast, Morris and the team are looking to make the long trip worthwhile.
"It is a big trip if you get knocked out in the first round so we're going to go up there and give it a good shake," he said.
"We were very disappointed with going out in the first round, especially after making the top eight, so the goal this year is to get back up there and hopefully go a bit closer to winning it."
Once again Dindima take winning form into the knockout after making it three straight successes at Queanbeyan's event last month.
While the majority of the team is based in Wagga there is a few faces from further afield.
They include five-eighth Dylan Lucas who was named player of the tournament in Queanbeyan and is one Morris expects can make a real impact.
