Despite only fielding two players who play the sport regularly, the under-16 girls drew two and won one of their four games, with the two draws against sports colleges and the win a 5-4 triumph against Sydney Agricultural College.
The under-16 boys managed to beat a Dubbo outfit during their campaign, the under-14 girls registered two draws and two losses and the boys battled hard against tough opposition.
"They most pleasing thing (with the under-16 girls) was they didn't give up and were ahead in every game," Wagga Futsal's Sam Gray said.
"Only two girls play futsal regularly, so to go up there and be competitive was a big bonus.
"The (under-16) boys found it a bit harder because they're at the younger end of the age group.
"The most important thing was they enjoyed playing against these challenging teams."
