The Phantoms moved to sixth last week with a win over Wagga City but are six points behind fourth-placed Albury with three rounds to go.
Travelling to take on second-placed Ag College at Beres Ellwood Oval on Saturday, coach Seru Rogo has urged his players not to think too much about their opponents.
"We've got to worry about our own game and how we want to play," Rogo said.
"Obviously as I've said before we want to win to give ourselves a chance of making the finals.
"That is what we are playing for."
Leeton have had a mixed season due to injuries and player availability, Rogo remains unsure who will line up.
"Whatever happens, happens," he said.
"Hopefully we can take over a good team and really push Ag College."
