Hobbs took the early guilty plea and two-game suspension for his sling tackle on Ganmain-Grong Grong-Matong forward Jethro Peck at Crossroads Oval on Saturday.
The tackle earned Hobbs a report for rough conduct with his actions being graded as careless, high impact and high contact.
The tackle occurred in the second quarter of Collingullie-GP's 40-point win over the Lions and Peck never returned to the field of play after suffering concussion.
The base sanction was a three-game suspension but Hobbs was able to accept two games with the early guilty plea.
After this weekend's general bye for representative football, Hobbs will miss the Demons' games against Narrandera and Wagga Tigers.
They should get some relief within their key position stocks with coach Luke Gestier expected to return after the bye to face Narrandera.
Meantime, North Wagga footballer Ben Alexander is free to play after this weekend's representative bye.
Alexander accepted a reprimand for a rough conduct report on The Rock-Yerong Creek's Casey Hillary during the third quarter of the Farrer League clash at McPherson Oval on Saturday.
Alexander's actions were graded as intentional, low impact and to the body.
The base sanction was a one-game suspension but he was able to accept a reprimand with an early guilty plea and is free to face Coleambally after this weekend's bye.
