The program, aiming to bring the community together, is a joint celebration of the original Seniors Festival and Youth week, running for a full month of creative activities.
Attendees can expect events like music gigs, historic pub tours, wine appreciation sessions and even beeswax wrap workshops at the Wagga City Council festival, and Council Community Director Janice Summerhayes said it highlights the diverse cultures and backgrounds of the city.
"Fresh is a fantastic opportunity for residents to learn something new or experience something different," she said.
"Wagga is a diverse community and the concept behind Fresh is to bring people of different ages, backgrounds and cultures together."
One of Australia's top jazz singers, Emma Pask, will be performing during the first week of the festival on Friday April 5.
Pask said she was excited to come to the city and had a special lineup planned.
"I'm bringing the incredible pianist Kevin Hunt with me to Wagga, and we do what we like to call two out, which is a duo exploring the Great American Songbook and new arrangements of it, as well as some arrangements of more modern songs like The Beatles, some Latin stuff, and we try to make it as dynamic as possible," she said.
The popular singer said regional crowds were always a pleasure to perform for.
"One of the things I really love is getting out to regional areas, I've been doing it since I was young, it's great and sometimes more fun than big cities - the crowds are far more welcoming and always waiting for us with open arms," she said.
The Community Director added it was a full schedule at this year's festival, sure to impress.
"There really is something for everyone at Fresh and this year's program is bursting with highlights ranging from music to religion, politics and more," Ms Summerhayes said.
