Ten of the 14 horses nominated for the feature race of the summer have been received from the Southern District.
With entries for the feature race down, nominations have been extended until 11am on Wednesday.
Murrumbidgee Turf Club chief executive Scott Sanbrook believes the Ted Ryder Cup will again be a top class race.
“It looks like it’s going to be a nice, even race without any standouts,” Sanbrook said.
“It’s still going to be a tough race to win.”
A race shaping up every bit as good as the Ted Ryder Cup is the Cottontails Restaurant & Winery Benchmark 74 Handicap (1200m).
It has attracted 17 nominations, including the likes of Bennelong Dancer, Forever Newyork, Pittsburgh, Frenze Hall, Oh What A Thief and Nicconita, just to name a few.
