Stewart starred in the Uranquinty sunshine, claiming the A-grade 15km time trial in 20 minutes and 51 seconds before going on to clinch the A-grade road race ahead of Tolland CC club mates Will Silver and Peter Johnson in a sprint finish.
The young gun remains his own harshest critic but was pleased to come away with two A-grade wins.
“It was pretty tight there at the end of that road race and I was pretty happy with that one,” Stewart said.
“It felt a lot better than the time trial, to be honest – I wasn’t too happy with how I rode in that one.”
It’s the latest in a string of victories for Stewart dating back to April’s stage four win in the Tour de Riverina and his unexpected Ken Dinnerville Handicap success in May.
Now, all eyes are fixed on the upcoming national road titles.

“I’ve been doing a bit of track stuff but I’m mostly focused on getting right for nationals now in Ballarat next year.
“I’ll be heading down in January so that’s pretty exciting.”
Stewart's double was somewhat overshadowed by concerns for fellow cyclist Paul Dyson, who required medical treatment after coming off his bike during the C-grade road race.
Tolland cycling legend Barry O’Hagan said Dyson was nearing the finish line when the incident occurred.
“Paul was probably 200 metres out when he came off, just near the end,” O’Hagan said.
Shane Lenon and Graham Springett were the premier B-grade riders on the day, finishing on the podium for both races while Andrew Piffero bagged a winning double in C-grade.
Lockhart cyclist Joshua Bretag also impressed with silver medal ride in the A-grade time trial behind Stewart.
