Just as we thought we hustle and bustle of winter sports had finally come to an end, Wagga Cricket rolls around the corner and we’re right back in the mix.
It was an entertaining round to open things up with South Wagga, Lake Albert and Wagga City all recording early victories.
The Blues cruised their way to a 25-run victory over Kooringal Colts while the Bulls and Cats posted wins over St Michaels and Wagga RSL respectively to kickstart their seasons.
Meanwhile, there was plenty of action over at Peter Hastings Oval with the CSU Bushpigs and SIRU grand finalists Ag College going toe-to-toe in their annual charity match.
