The airline, which flies to Wagga with prop-driven planes, will launch double daily flights on weekdays between Melbourne and Brisbane from December 17, when Queensland is due to drop its 14-day quarantine requirement for arrivals from COVID-19 hotspots.
Regional Express will also launch a return service on both Saturday and Sunday between Melbourne and Brisbane.
Brisbane will become the fifth capital city destination in the Regional Express's domestic network, taking it closer to servicing the so-called 'Golden Triangle' routes between Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
"All of our launch flights to new destinations have proved to be enormously popular and I have no doubt Brisbane will be the same, particularly with such affordable fares," regional deputy chairman, John Sharp said.
Regional Express also resumed more of its regional destination flights on Monday along with its passenger jet services.
Regional Express' passenger service competitor at Wagga airport, Qantas, last month announced it would launch a direct service from Wagga to Brisbane via its QantasLink subsidiary in March next year.
