Up to 35 boats, including some built back in the 1940s, will set sail on Lake Albert for a weekend centred around fun, relaxation and an appreciation for stunning handiwork.
Among the boats taking part in the event will be Darryl Woods' classic maple Hammond, which his mother first purchased on June 20, 1969 - the same day man landed on the moon.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Mr Woods is a co-organiser of the event and said he is keen to see the full range of classic boats on the water.
"From what we can tell there is going to be a really good variety in the boats this year with everything from timber hydroplanes through to American-style hulls and the more modern type raceboats taking part," he said.
"There is going to be a full spectrum from the 1940s up until the 2000s and it will just be a really relaxed event - we're not here to win sheep stations."
Mr Woods and fellow organiser Mick Henderson were excited to announce Lake Albert would be full for the event, which will include multiple on-water displays on both Saturday and Sunday.
Residents will be able to watch the vessels in action from anywhere on the foreshore and in the Wagga Boat Club and the event will be free entry.
Mr Henderson said it will be a chance to catch a glimpse of boats you might otherwise never get the chance to see.
"These boats aren't the average ones you see out on the water course or out social skiing," he said.
