Mo'ane has been appointed as senior coach of the Wolves, replacing Scott Elphick, who advised the club he was taking a break from sport for personal reasons.
Mo'ane was co-coach of Wagga United this season, alongside Scott Rohrich, but has decided on a return 'home' to lead Tolland.
"Of course I'm excited. It's the first club I played for when I came to Wagga and after a year of senior coaching at Wagga United, I'm excited to use that experience and thankful for the opportunity," Mo'ane said.
Mo'ane was one of a number players to leave Tolland during the last off-season. He gave his decision a lot of consideration before opting to return.
"At first it was (a tough decision). And I had a couple of weeks to think about it, to be honest, and I thought about everything that had happened," he said.
"Time heals all wounds and I think it's probably now or never so I think it's a good time to go back and help rebuild the club to it's former glory."
Amid a heavy player exodus, Tolland won just one game this year as they fielded a predominantly young team.
Mo'ane knows he is going to oversee a rebuild but wants to welcome back as many former Tolland players as possible.
"It's going to be a rebuild. I'm going to try to reach out to as many players as I can, past players, and see what their interest is," he said.
"Depending who we can get will depend how far we can go. I'm going in with a pretty open mind, I'm not going to say pre-season day one we're winning the premiership boys, it's about culture at the moment and bringing good players to the club and playing good football."
Tolland will begin pre-season in late January but Mo'ane is quietly confident of some ex-players returning.
"I won't give too much away but I know the Tolland boys, I know the ex-Tolland boys and I know they're good blokes so I imagine they'll do the right thing," he said.
"There's no pressure on anyone to come back. It's completely up to them."

Tolland president Josh Lang is happy to have Mo'ane back at the club.
"The club is pleased to have Aaron return to the club and take on our Pascoe Cup coaching role," Lang said.
"As president I believe our club's culture is the foundation for success on the pitch. Aaron exemplifies this in his approach to coaching and leadership. He returns to the club with the experience gained from his senior coaching role this season and we are excited for what 2022 will bring."
Mo'ane also thanked Wagga United for the opportunity this year.
"I loved it. And I can only offer my thanks to Wagga United because they held out their hand when a lot of players were in need of a club," Mo'ane said.
"If things went a bit different I could very well still be there but it didn't. I definitely enjoyed it though."
