The non-playing coach accepted the early guilty plea for abusing a tough judge in the 28-10 loss to Kangaroos at Laurie Daley Oval on Saturday.
The offence was graded as low and Rigg, who had admitted his guilt when called onto the field by referee Ben Whitby before being dismissed, elected not to take the matter further.
However the plea has triggered a $1500 fine for the club.
Brothers were handed a suspended sentence following an incident in round one which was set to expire at the end of the season barring any other code of conduct issues.
Group Nine chairman Andrew Hinchcliffe said the board had no other choice but to implement the punishment.
"Suspended sentences are a good way to act as a deterrent for players and put clubs on notice about their behaviour," Hinchcliffe said.
"The behaviour of people involved in rugby league be it supporters, volunteers and players is really important and is something in the future we want to make sure we have a good handle on it."
Rigg was limited to a non-playing role this season following knee surgery but is expected to play for the club next season.
It just adds to a horror season for the club, who failed to win a first grade game.
However both their leaguetag and Weissel Cup sides are minor premiers.
