The Jets were guaranteed to finish fifth regardless of the result, the same situation the club's footballers find themselves in, and coach Beth New hopes lockdown won't force a shortened finals series and end their season.
They will play fourth-placed Coleambally again in an elimination clash should the finals format remain unchanged in their first finals campaign since 2018.
New said the match, which was the only draw of the Farrer League season, was a chance to road test some options before the return bout when their season goes on the line.
"We wanted to use that game to see how we play against them and make some notes for finals, so hopefully we do get to play," New said.
IN OTHER NEWS
"It was probably late in the game when the news (about lockdown) came through, we just tried to enjoy the last bit of footy.
"We're really keen for it, we worked hard toward the end for fifth position. Even A reserves, we've led all the way (15-1 record), so we're hoping they can also go into finals with us."
"We changed our combinations a little bit, so we now know what we'll stick with for the next game. It was good to get a refresher on how they play, and have an idea in our minds on how to shut down a few different things."
"It's definitely an exciting feeling to be in there, but also with A res and B grade in the finals as well as footy."
In other matches Charles Sturt University warmed up for a qualifying final date with Temora with a 66-26 victory against East Wagga Kooringal, Temora thrashed winless The Rock-Yerong Creek 73-11 and Barellan edged out Marrar 29-28 in a low-scoring thriller.
North Wagga, CSU and Temora all finished with a 14-2 record, but the Saints claimed top spot through a superior percentage.
