A SES spokesperson said that moderate rainfall associated with a cold front has the potential to cause local and riverine flooding in Tumut from Saturday as the weather system moves east.
A warning has also been issued to sheep graziers right across the Riverina, with a risk of losing lambs and sheep exposed to these conditions.
