The NSW SES issued a warning to residents who may be impacted on Tuesday, warning that from Thursday flooding of the river is "likely".
Residents are reminded to monitor weather forecasts and warnings through radio, the SES social media channels, Live Traffic and other sites.
In the event of flooding, residents are required to relocate to higher ground and farmers told to move livestock and equipment away from flood-prone paddocks.
The emergency response service also reminded recipients of key behaviour to avoid during floods.
"Never drive, ride or walk-through flood water," a statement read. "Flood water can be deceptive and dangerous.
The warning was issued at 12pm on Tuesday, a follow up forecast to be issued the same time on Wednesday.
The SES provided a list of resources for further information and updates.
