The Kangaroos stayed in touch in the first half and then took control in the third quarter with five goals to two.
In a winless season, they weren't about to let the opportunity slip, grabbing a 15.9 (99) to 11.5 (71) win even with Coleambally assistant coach Jade Hodge booting eight.
"The boys have been putting in the work all year and to finally get the reward was pleasing," Temora coach Jake Wooden said.
"It all come together, it was a four-quarter effort and it was good to get the win."
Wooden said he couldn't single anyone out in a great team effort, which also saw them rectify a habit of third-quarter lapses.
"It's something we've struggled with, coming out after half-time, so it was pleasing to come out and kick away a little bit. It set us up for the last quarter," he said.
They enjoyed the win, singing the song for the first time since the elimination final victory against Coleambally in August 2019.
"There were more blokes on the inside than outside ... it was good," Wooden said.
"It was hard to pick a top six because everyone played their role. It was a team effort and its hard to single out blokes in a win like we had.
"The greatest thing out of today was, after all the work put in the last two years and a couple of pre-seasons, to get some reward."
