Emergency services rushed to a property on Wee Jasper Road, Bombowlee, at 7.45pm after a neighbour alerted the owners a shed was on fire.
Geoff Frowd, a district officer at Riverina Highlands Rural Fire Service, said three RFS crews attended along with Fire and Rescue NSW to tackle the fire.
"It was one of those smouldering fires, confined to one area of the shed, but the radiant heat and smoke had damaged the materials in the shed," he said.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"The car was all melted, and being a two-story building, the fire had gone upstairs. We stayed on site until about 11pm."
NSW Police said the shed and its contents - including a vehicle and ride on lawnmower- were destroyed.
"The owners, a 72-year-old man and 70-year-old woman, were not injured," the statement said.
"Fire investigators are yet to determine a cause of the blaze, but it is not being treated as suspicious."
