Henwood Park sit in second position on the Pascoe Cup ladder but face a tough fortnight ahead, starting with a showdown with Leeton United at Rawlings Park on Sunday.
The Leeton game will complete the first half of the season, with the Hawks to then get a second crack at Hanwood, the undefeated ladder leaders.
Henwood Park went down 3-0 to Hanwood in the opening round, and also fell to Young 3-1 earlier this month.
Their only victory over a top four team was a 4-0 win over Lake Albert so the next fortnight presents an opportunity for Henwood Park, according to co-coach Matt Menser.
"We're pretty happy with how we're going but apart from the Lake Albert match, we haven't performed against those other two top teams," Menser said.
"We really need to perform well against them to show that we can match it. We need to make sure that against the big teams we're firing."

Menser scored five goals in last week's 13-0 hiding of Tolland.
He knows Leeton will prove completely different opposition.
"Totally different to last week, I guess. It will be a really big test to see where we sit," he said.
"We've got Leeton then we've got Hanwood so a really hard two weeks. Hopefully the weather fines up enough and we get the game going.
"It's a really important week. They're a good team and just really have to get some points. Dropping points keeps everything close and because the return trip is the last week of the season, we don't want to be travelling to Leeton looking to get those points. A win here does at least give us a little bit of breathing room going into a Hanwood game the following week."
Isaac Tancredi will be the only Henwood Park player missing, as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury.
