The camp got underway in Sydney on Sunday, where players will be put through their paces under some of the finest coaches in the country.
Emms, who hails from Harden, was one of three Wanderers players to take part in a Young Matildas elite trial game back in April.
She has now taken it a step further by being named in the 29-member training squad.
Wagga City Wanderers women's coach Sam Gray was delighted for Emms.
"It's really good for Sammy, it's good exposure for her," Gray said.
"She works hard, herself, on her own game away from Wanderers. She does a lot of stuff at home as well. She's put in the hard work over the last three or four seasons and she's certainly seeing the benefit now."

The camp is held under the watchful eye of Young Matildas coach Leah Blayney and runs until Friday.
The Young Matildas commence their qualification campaign for the 2022 AFC U-20 Women's Asian Cup from August 14-22.
"It is always exciting to be able to come together as a team of players and staff," Blayney said.
"Every assembly is an opportunity to become one day better as a group. For this camp, we are looking to build on seeds planted from previous Elite Matches as we further bed down our playing style and re-affirm the expectations we set as a team."
