RENEWING his partnership up forward with Murray Stephenson may have to wait, but Wagga Tigers recruit Ryan Falkenberg is confident it won't take long to find his feet in the Riverina League.

The Sydney-based key forward made his Tigers debut in the Tigers' seven-point loss to Coolamon in tough conditions a fortnight ago, before missing last week's defeat to Ganmain-Grong Grong-Matong.
But with better weather expected for Saturday's home clash with Narrandera, Tigers coach Stephenson's former teammate at SANFL club Central Districts will get a better chance to shine.
"He (Stephenson) was calling me every since I moved over," the 22-year-old said.
"I said to him if it was two hours I probably would have signed straight away. But I went out (to Wagga) one weekend and my partner and I liked the country feel of the club.
"It's good to step back a bit and just enjoy footy. It might take me a few weeks to get the fitness and match awareness back, it's something you lose pretty quickly.
"I haven't exactly done a whole lot since last season either. I've been doing bits and pieces but have been trying to settle into Sydney and find my feet."
IN OTHER NEWS
Falkenberg played plenty of football in the forward line at SANFL reserves level with Stephenson, but the Tigers coach named himself on the half-back line after moving there against the Lions last week.
Should he move forward at some stage, Falkenberg is confident they can find their feet as a partnership again quickly.
"I didn't play a whole lot of league footy with Muzz, but we would have had a good two seasons together in the twos. Running around in the forward line we combined really well," Falkenberg said.
"We usually just go left and right, and work with each other. The big brute he is, he's a bit more of a contested player than mine and I use a bit more space, we seem to work pretty well.
"It (Riverina League) is a lot more physical, and a lot more enjoyable in a way."
