Freeman scored a hat-trick in the first half of the big win over Albury last week before receiving a head knock.
Unfit to take his place against Brothers at Alfred Oval, coach Nick Hall doesn't want to disrupt the team too much.
"It's a short term solution until we work out what Nayah is doing," Hall said.
"Tom Bush goes to the wing after he filled in on the weekend but if Nayah turns out to be away longer I'll make a longer term solution."
Typically a fullback, Hall was impressed with how Bush played when coming off the bench and into lock for Young before Freeman's injury.
"He played pretty well in there, tightened things up, challenged around the play-the-balls and then went to the wing and did a professional job there too," Hall said.
"I don't think Tom is a long term solution there."
Fresh from North Sydney's SG Ball campaign, Blake Coombes is also set to return to the first grade fold.
Hall is looking forward to giving Coombes another opportunity in the top grade.
"He's a guy with a bit of leg speed, physicality and is dynamic so it will be good to see how he goes," Hall said.
