Turvey Park Fire and Rescue NSW got the call at 8.57pm on Tuesday evening and arrived on the scene shortly after 9pm.
Station officer Mark Edis said the fire was extinguished by the time firefighters arrived, however he said it remains unclear whether a resident put them out or whether the fire petered out naturally.
"It was only a small fire on a balcony. The was only some minor smoke damage," Mr Edis said.
"We do get a few calls there on occasion."
