Although cancelled last year due to the pandemic, the annual Explore Day gives students insight into life at the regional university.
This year, it was attended by up to 500 students from years 10, 11, and 12, at 30 different schools, which is a significant increase from previous years.

Senior lecturer in oral health therapy, Dr Ashraf Shaweesh had the students simulating the installation of a filling on a set of modelled teeth.
"A lot of practical activities and assessment tasks in the Bachelor of Oral Health Therapy and Hygiene are based on group work, which allows students to develop strong friendships and professional networks early in the course," Dr Shaweesh said.
"We have state-of-the-art simulation clinics for students to commence their hands-on training from the first year."
