The postponement of the Golden Slipper race meeting at Rosehill on Saturday prompted Racing NSW to push the entire autumn carnival back one week.
The $500,000 Country Championships Final, featuring Another One and the Donna Scott-trained Bautista, has been moved from Saturday week, April 3, to April 10.
Colvin elected not to give Another One a start between his heat win at Wagga on February 20 and the final, and is not concerned by the extra week's break.
Another One galloped between races at Wagga's last meeting on March 9 and will compete in a barrier trial at Wagga on Thursday, as originally planned.
"It's not too bad," Colvin said of the delay.
"It will allow us to give him a pretty good trial on Thursday. It gives me a little bit longer so he'll be able to have a good, hard trial."
In exciting news for Wagga jockey Nick Heywood, he has been booked for the ride in the final at Randwick.
Heywood has been on board Another One in four of his seven career starts, for three wins and an unlucky second behind subsequent group one winner Lion's Roar.

Colvin was happy to stick with Heywood, who has experience at metropolitan level after finishing his apprenticeship with Peter and Paul Snowden in Sydney.
"We're better off with Nick, who you know is going to have a real go," Colvin said.
"He knows the horse."
Colvin is happy with how Another One is ticking over in preparation for the feature.
"I'm looking forward (to the trial). I just hope it tries out a bit on Thursday," he said.
"That will be his prep. He'll have the trial and then I'll keep him ticking over.
"I'm very happy with the way he's going. And he goes pretty good in the wet, the track was soft when he won in Sydney, so that doesn't worry me too much if it is wet there again."
Bautista produced a slashing lead-up run for the final when second behind Mount Horeb in Thursday's City Handicap at Albury.
John Kissick has also been booked to retain the ride there, despite not riding him in the Albury sprint.
Colvin meantime will take Forever Newyork to Sydney with him.
Forever Newyork, who finished seventh in the City Handicap last week, will run at Warwick Farm on Wednesday, April 7. Another One will travel to Sydney with his stablemate and use the extra days to acclimatise before the final at Randwick.
