All senior and junior matches were washed out after Wagga received over 60 millimetres of rain on Friday.
However after last week's decision to call matches off on Friday night was criticised by a number of first grade captains, a decision wasn't made until Saturday morning.
Wagga RSL captain Sam Perry, who was set to tackle Wagga City in a day-night fixture at Robertson OVal, thought the smart call was made.
"Coming up to the back end of the season you don't want the grounds getting wrecked coming up to finals," Perry said.
"At the end of the day you can't really be disappointed with it."
A wet patch on the Harris Park pitch prevented Kooringal Colts hosting South Wagga.
However Colts captain Keenan Hanigan was pleased to be allowed a chance to play.
"We did everything we could to hang around as long as we could to get a game but the reality was there was one wet patch in the middle of the pitch, about a couple metres long by the pitch width," Hanigan said.
"By 11.30 it hadn't improved from early in the morning so both captains, umpires and curators agreed to call it off.
"It was probably the right decision in the end."
The bowlers' run ups were part of the concern at Rawlings Park which forced St Michaels and Lake Albert to share the points in their crucial clash.
All Wagga Softball senior women's games were also deferred due to the state of the outfield at French Fields.
The A grade clash between has been deferred until Wednesday.
