Mr Carson said it was sad to be leaving the ice game, saying he escaped a corporate desk job in order to chase his dream job of running an ice shop.
"I didn't like the desk life and I knew I was still young enough to have a go at something else, and there's nothing like being your own boss," Mr Carson said.
"I've grown quite attached to it."

Mr Carson is reluctantly giving up the ice business in order to support his fiancee Stacey Metcalfe, who is moving to Adelaide to compete as an apprentice horse jockey.
They had initially planned to sell the business in early 2020, but were forced to put their plans on ice until the COVID restrictions cooled down.
Mr Carson has since found several buyers interested in taking up the business, and now he is preparing to move on to find another career in Adelaide.
The 37-year-old said he would miss the ice business, but that he would miss his friends and the Wagga people even more.
During his time in Wagga he donated to sporting clubs and charities all around town as his way of giving back to the community.
"We're always heavily involved in the community, and the Wagga and the Riverina people always give back. What goes around comes around," Mr Carson said.
"Wagga people in the Riverina are quick to support their small local brands."
