Police were told the boys had claimed to be looking for a missing bicycle, and while the woman spoke with the group, two of the boys allegedly entered the home and stole cash from her purse before fleeing on foot.
Riverina Police District Detective Inspector Adrian Telfer said officers were quick to the scene where they were able to identify two individuals allegedly involved.
"A 13-year-old boy from Tolland and a 14-year-old boy from Kooringal were arrested and taken to Wagga Police Station," he said.
The pair were later charged with aggravated break, enter and steal in company, and will appear before Wagga Children's Court on Wednesday, March 31.
